The Office of Inspector General released the August 27th 2024 budget report for the Artemis Mission, Orion, HSL and SLS programs. It does not look good and has concerns of NASA defunding the Artemis missions in favor of others.

Some highlights from this report show serious problems with Orions ability to dock with HLS, the inability for HSL to land, the mass of HSL to Gateway, and so on. Bottom line they said its over budget, behind schedule and still lacking the technologies to preform anything beyond the Artemis 1 launch of Orion. This looks to be another Starliner situation.
